Concept
MATAHARI annex stay is extraordinary space surrounded by flowers. Our hotel is designers hotel that can stay max 4 people for only one group a day. Seasonal flowers for guests change everyday, and it does not have the same expression as a day. The room is full of colorful flowers, wrapped in a rich fragrance. The guests can stay relaxing time that flower beauty that appeals to the eye and flower smell that appeals to the sense of smell and can feel “nature” and “season”.
Flowers
MATAHARI’s flower design features a mixed style that ‘IKEBANA’ is Japanese style inherited in Kyoto and Middle East design that integrates Western and Eastern cultures. Unique style that does not belong any style called “MATAHARI style” and this style attention from the world and we provide flower arrangement for many Chaya in Kyoto, overseas high brand shop and etc..
Location
Recently, scholar and intellectual prefer and live this area to indulge for example “philosophy walk”. And late years, it gain popularity as a quiet residential area and there is Kyoto university and Kyoto university of art & design, it is also a place where cultural space remains especially strong among Kyoto.

We pursue “personal style” because you can be yourself.
Guest room
We have only one room in the world, which is limited to one group per day. Please enjoy laid back time uninterrupted by anyone. We will prepare according to the number of guests. It is also possible to use 3rooms by adjusting the partitions so please use it according to your own style.
Bed
We prepare mattresses from the long-established Kyoto “Kyoto Nishikawa”.
As we use mattresses that allows you to feel a certain level of hardness, you can easily move and rolling over during sleep. So you can feel comfortable sleep.
Bath room
You can spend a dreamy and relaxing time with flowers in the claw foot tub. You can also bring a book to the bath. Or you can bring your tablet and enjoy your favorite movies and music. Please relax and stretch your legs and enjoy the scent of flowers.
Kitchen
We have a complete set of kitchenware necessary for cooking.
Please use according to your own style.
